75cl / 12% - This is one of Austria’s oldest estates, dating back to the 16th century. The Jurtschitsch family took over the reins in 1868 and in 2010 converted it to organic farming. This sparkling wine is made from Gruner Veltliner grapes and has a lovely fresh grassy note with lemon zest and thyme. On the palate there are notes of fruit custard, lemon balm and a slight salinity on the finish. This is a wine that will pair with an asparagus starter or fried fish.
