Finca Agostino is the story of four brothers: Vincenzo, Rosalía, Sebastian and Miguel Agostino, who lived their childhood in Mendoza before settling with their family in Canada in the sixties. The memory of Mendoza remained in their minds as the land of their childhood; a period of their lives shared with their grandfather Sebastiano, surrounded by the vineyards in which he worked as a “contractor vintner”.
Sebastiano was in love with the land of Mendoza, with its pure waters coming from the Andes range and its always sunny days. He always said “take care of your vines with passion and they will give you the best wine”.
This outstanding blend is the result of the aromatic complexity of Malbec, the spices of Syrah, the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the personality of Petit Verdot. Its ageing in French oak barrels enhances and balances this blend, making it a noble aged wine.
In Finca Agostino they develop environmentally sustainable work practices to preserve the environment natural conditions so that the ecological balance is not impaired. Using “no till farming” in 100% of thei vineyards, they support the development of the native vegetation cover of the area, which enhances its organic matter and results in a long term soil fertility and production.
They look after the water, efficiently managing the resource and avoiding waste. To that effect, they have their own reservoir with more than 30,000,000 liters of water, and 100% of the vineyards are watered with a drip irrigation system which enables them to maximize the water
50% Malbec, 20% Petit Verdot, 20% Cabernet and 10% Syrah.
