Founded by David R. Bennion back in the 1960's. Ridge vineyards has produced the Geyserville series as a single-site zinfandel every year since 1966. Ridge are certified as an organic wine producer and use traditional production methods (The team at Ridge believe the use modern additives and industrial processing limit the end product & quality of the wine). The 2017 vintage was highly reviewed on release and uses a medley of grapes; with it been made up mainly of Zinfandel, with additional Carignane, Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet used to bring balance to Zinfandel. Ridge reckon it's the perfect bottle for the wine cellar and that it will develop further complexity over the next decade or so.
