Carignan was the single most common vine variety planted in France until it was overtaken by Merlot at the end of the 20th Century. This is the 2018 vintage from the Languedoc - Roussillon region of Southern France. Made from carefully selected grapes from 40 year old Carignan vines, which are harvested in the cool morning (this allows the grapes to retain their flavour and to not oxidise and sour) We think its an exceptional wine, bursting with fruity notes that doesn't cost a fortune; what more could you want.
