One of only 300 bottles UK wide - and now pretty much all but gone, the Glenfarclas 1966 Fino sherry casks is a rare bottle indeed. Matured exclusively in fino sherry casks which is a very rare cask to be used for maturing whisky. Fino is a lighter and typically drier sherry than Oloroso. Each bottle is in a black box bearing a silver coin which features an image of John Grant, who founded the distillery six generations ago. This expression marks the first in the series of six different Glenfarclas special releases, one for each generation of the family.
