This new release from Steve and the Five O’Clock Somewhere team in Australia is a testament to the small-batch, hand-crafted nature of these tiny bottlings. Old-vine Shiraz forms the base of the wine and has been fermented in open-top fermenters, 10 days on its skins, before pressing. In true pioneering 'throw away the rule book' style, it is blended with a small parcel of Albariño, which was hand-picked in the early hours of the morning to retain freshness and varietal character. Once at the winery, the Albariño batch was too small for the press and they couldn’t secure a basket press in time, so it was hand-pressed by Steve and the team. Never has a wine been more hands-on than this parcel!
