This whisky comes from the Blair Athol distillery which is situated near Pitlochry, Perthshire. This is a limited release distillery exclusive bottling of 4500 which was bottled in 2017. The Blair Athol distillery was founded in 1798 by John Steward and Robert Robertson, originally it was named 'Aldour' after the Allt-Dour burn where the distillery draws it water from.
Nose - Sweet barley and hints of caramel, fruity with vanilla oak.
Palate - Honey sweetness, toffee apples and a touch of ginger and cinnamon spice, nutty.
Finish - Long and mellow with warm vanilla.
