The nose is lovely, star anise, rich cherry, horseradish, white pepper, jalapeno, and dense red fruit. The mouth on this full-bodied wine is richly layered, dense, dark cherry, plum, with candied currants, intense acidity, with a deep and dense tannin mouthfeel, earth, loam, and smoke, wow!
