When we were presented with two excellent wines in their own right, a Tempranillo and a Syrah, instinct told us they could be elevated to an even higher level if they were to accept each other's strengths and weaknesses and live in the bottle together! So we got the measuring cylinder out and got to work on the blend. 60/40 was where the magic happened. It was as if the power of the Syrah was pushing the soft red fruit of the Tempranillo through the roof, backing it up with a little bit of brawn. Absolutely delicious. We're quite proud of this one.
