75cl / 12.5% - This wine is made from Baga a variety indigenous to Portugal, the grapes are foot trodden in large granite lagars and then aged in small oak barrels. On the nose lovely ripe cherry fruit, new leather, powdered dried olives and rose petal. On the palate black cherry, blackberry and smoky fruit with dry sappy tannins. Try this with roasted port or duck or a lentil stew.
