In 1880 Joseph Drouhin, who was from the Chablis region originally, chose the city of Beaune to found the business that bears his name. Over the years and with each generation, the vineyard estate grew. At the same time, the founder's passionate search for excellence and knowledge was handed down like a family heirloom; Maison Joseph Drouhin continues to ensure this valuable family heritage. The Nuits-Saint-Georges Procès Premier Cru has a deep garnet colour, bright like a gemstone, and intense, but elegant, aromas reminiscent of cherry jam, classic of Burgundian Pinot Noir, with hints of wood and balsam, or cedar. With age, the aromas take on gamey touches. On the palate, the wine displays flesh as well as structure and a velvety texture. Very flavourful finish, evoking fruit syrups and spice infusions. Best enjoyed alongside hearty meats, such as roasted pork, sirloin steak or venison. 12.5% ABV
