This mouthwatering Premier Cru is something of a rarity, being a sensibly priced white Burgundy from the spectacular 2015 vintage. It's from Françoise Feuillat-Juillot's deftly managed 14 hectare estate in the heart of Montagny. After two years as a student in Paris, the lure of the winemaking life drew her back home to Burgundy, where she studied oenology at university in Dijon. She then began working with a producer in Montagny-les-Buxy, and eventually purchased the estate in 2004. She set about improving practices in the cellar and the vineyard, and the awards have been rolling in ever since. Crafted from hand picked fruit, this Premier Cru is cask fermented and aged on its lees in fine French oak. Serve cool, with lobster or scallops.
