What is Hefeweizen Beer?
Hefeweizen is a specific style of unfiltered, cloudy wheat beer from Bavaria, literally meaning "yeast Wheat", from which it gets its flavours of banana, clove and even bubblegum. It is particularly noteworthy among other styles of German wheat beer for having low hop bitterness and high carbonation.
The filtered variant of Hefeweizen is known as Kristallweizen.
