What is a Kriek beer?
Kriek is primarily a Belgian tradition, being a Lambic fruit beer brewed with sour cherries. It is dry, tart and full of cherry flavour! It is made simply by adding cherries to a spontaneously fermented lambic.
Whilst not particularly common, they have developed a growing following since the craft beer boom. Major producers include Lindemans, Boon and Kasteel.
