Chambolle-Musigny Wines

Chambolle is a tiny commune, right in the heart of the Cote de Nuits, nestled between Morey Saint-Denis and Vougeot, with a population of less than 400. However its reputation is stellar, and is one of the most prized appellations of the Cote de Nuits.

One of the more perfumed styles of the Cote de Nuits and often described as 'feminine', this appellation is only for red wines. Its two grand crus are Bonnes Mares and Musigny. At their best, the wines are intensely fragrant and elegant, with soft, red fruit character, refined, seductive and silky. With some aging, they can develop towards spice and prune, or towards truffle, forest floor and gamey.
