San Antonio Valley Wine

Just south of Casablanca Valley, lies the fairly small San Antonio Valley. It is an area of undulating hills, heavily influenced by cool ocean breezes, that has a great range of vineyard sites and soils. The climate is not dissimilar to Casablanca with the same long ripening period benefitting the grapes.

The main grapes are Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. They tend to be high in acidity, medium bodied, fresh, mineral and fruity wines. Riesling and Viognier is also very good from here. It is also home of the super premium sub-zone of Leyda Valley.
