Established in 1776, Louis Roederer is one of the few, great champagne houses which remain family owned. Their astonishing collection of prime vineyard sites offers the house ultimate control of quality from grape to glass. By 1876, the house had achieved such a reputation for quality that Tsar Alexandre II requested they make him an exclusive cuvée. The result was Cristal, the first Cuvée de Prestige. The Cristal has subtle notes of pears, flowers, spices, mint, minerals and oak, woven into a frame of extraordinary grace and elegance.
