The Champenois territory is imbued with a strong identity, marked by the specificities of its soils and its grape varieties, as well as by its climatic conditions under oceanic and continental influences. It is this complexity that the house Pol Couronne makes a point of honor to find in its wines to best represent the region by a delicate blend of quality grape varieties that are the Chardonnay (from excellent terroirs including some classified in Grand Cru such as Avize), Pinot Noir (mainly those from Ambonnay and Bouzy for our Grand Cru vintages) and Pinot Meunier (mainly from the Marne Valley).
"The result of an excellent vintage, the 2008 special vintage is composed equally of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The 2008 vintage, both powerful and mineral, is an exceptional Champagne, illustrating the craftsmanship of excellence Pol Crown" Jean Baptiste Prevost, winemaker
The colour is yellow gold and its foam is fine and abundant. The olfaction is complex and slightly roasted. The nose opens with aeration, we discover toasted and dried fruit notes. The attack on the palate is well structured and rich, giving way to a beautiful freshness on the finish, a powerful and mineral vintage.
