Ayala Brut Majeur Tasting Notes by Wine Expert, David Andrews, DipWSET
Ayala Brut Majeur is made under the watchful eye of the Bollinger quality stamp meaning you know it will be good. The house also has a history entwined with the development of the Champagne region, being one of the first Grandes Marques founded in 1860. Bollinger bought it in 2005 and rejuvenated it back to its former glory with plenty of investment. You can now enjoy the rewards.
Ayala is predominantly Chardonnay, pouring a light gold, and creating a pure expression. An expressive nose displays light citrus, floral and white peach aromas. On the palate you'll find great balance and length with well defined fruit flavour. This is one to try if you like good Champagne without paying for the brand name!
