Just west of Rías Baixas is Ribeiro. As a result, it is slightly more sheltered from the Atlantic but the climate is still maritime with relatively high rainfall. Much like Rias Baixas, the main wines here are white. Treixadura is the most planted variety and can be made either on its own or as part of a blend with other local grapes.
