Why drink an Aperitif?

Aperitifs are alcoholic drinks, so-called for their light, refreshing character that has a way of stimulating your appetite. Usually served pre-dinner for this reason, you can enjoy a range of brands offering up styles from very sweet to bone dry. It all comes down to your preference ultimately.

Aperitifs are not to be confused with digestifs, which are the after-dinner drinks to aid digestion. They tend to be sweeter but some drinks can double up as both like an Amaretto.
