Classically French, aniseed-based, apéritif. First created by Henri Pernod in 1805, it became the most celebrated spirit served on the café terraces of 19th century Paris. Traditionally served diluted with just a splash of ice-cold water in order to appreciate its liquorice aromas and flavours.
