Fiano - a gem of Campanian Wine

Fiano is often overshadowed by its fellow regional variety Falanghina, but has potential to be of very high quality, particularly for the wine coming from the Fiano di Avellino DOCG in Campania. Generally, these wines are medium bodied, floral with stone fruit flavours and better examples develop a nutty complexity. They can be noted for having a waxy mouthfeel. The best wines even have the ability to age for around a decade
