This is the flagship rum of the Barbados Plantation range. Cognac Ferrand has long had ties with the finest rum producers of the Caribbean, selling them prized ex Cognac casks in which to age the spirit. In 1989 Cognac Ferrand's champion blender Alexander Gabriel came across some very old vats of rum and was so impressed, he decided to do a special bottling. So the Plantation range was born. Rum is the spirit created from distilled sugar cane, with the finest coming from Barbados. The Plantation range stands out for combining the finest flavours of this Caribbean spirit with the finesse gained from first ageing in American bourbon casks in warm Barbados, then Cognac casks in cool underground cellars in Charentes. Rich, exotic and very long.
