Supermarket Wine Offers: Buy 6, Save 25% September 2026

The Supermarket “Buy 6, Save 25%” wine offers are some of the most popular deals here at WinesDirect, and it's easy to see why. These deals regularly see you save a whole lot more than the standard 25% because the saving is often applied on top of wines already reduced in price. We have seen total savings reach a whopping 70% and up before!

This page tracks all the major supermarket Buy 6 offers, showing you who is currently running the promotion, when they end and their alternative offers when the Buy 6 offer is not on.

Unlike most websites who will just tell you when a deal is on, we will show you the savings and exact cost per bottle, so you don’t have to work out the maths yourself. A quick glance at our wine page will show you all you need to know to browse all your favourite wines at the best price.

Usually, Supermarkets launch their deals around the same time each year (particularly bank holidays) and at the same time as each other. Once one comes out with the deal, the others quickly follow their lead.

Check back regularly for the latest updates and we will tell you all that you need to know about how and where you can get the 25% off six offer at supermarkets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the 25% off wine for?

Most supermarket "Buy 6, Save 25% offers last around a week or sometimes less. However, during peak times such as Christmas and Easter, this offer will run for at least two weeks. We've even seen them run for a whole month in the more recent Christmas periods.

How often do supermarkets run Buy 6 Save 25% wine promotions?

Major UK supermarkets like to run the "buy 6, save 25%" wine offer regularly, at least once a month. Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons run it most often, with Ocado, Asda and Waitrose going live every 3-4 months.

When is the next Buy 6 Save 25% wine offer?

You can see my predictions on our table at the top of the page. The next offer is predicted to be live by 24th August in time for the bank holiday.

Can I mix and match bottles in a Buy 6 Save 25% wine offer?

Yes you can mix and match across wine, Champagne, sparkling and even dessert and fortified wines to qualify for the 6-bottle minimum required for your discount. There are exclusions on what you can buy, based on bottle size and min/max price, but the offer includes the vast majority of the range.

How much can I save with a Buy 6 Save 25% wine offer?

The Buy 6 Save 25% wine offer gets you savings way above 25%. This is because the 25% off applies to wines already on price drop, so you essentially stack savings. We regularly see big brands over 50% off, and have seen bottles reach over 70% off before. This easily makes it the biggest supermarket wine discount you will find.

Do all wines qualify for Buy 6 Save 25% promotions?

No, there are exclusions based on bottle size (mini and magnum formats) and minimum and maximum prices. For example, Sainsbury's excludes wines under £6 in England (£7 in Scotland and Wales) and all bottles below 200ml.

Can I use Buy 6 Save 25% offers online?

Yes, this offer is most frequently available online. You can find it in store, but it is not at every single store, menaing you run the risk of going to a shop without the offer on.

David's Supermarket Wine Offer Tips

Amazon Wine Offers

Majestic Wine Offer Tips

Majestic is another non-supermarket that runs the equivalent of this supermarket offer. They have the mix six, which can get you up to 25% off all their wines when you mix and match. It's great if you're looking for more unique and exclusive wines at a discount.

Majestic Wine Offers

Which supermarket usually has the best wine offer?

My experience scanning these offers on a daily basis and utilising WinesDirect's price comparison features tells me that Tesco and Sainsbury's provide the strongest discounts on big brands such as Oyster Bay, Villa Maria, Mucho Mas and various Champagnes like Bollinger or Taittinger. They tend to switch between who has the best price for which brand on an offer to offer basis.

If you are looking for great discounts on more premium wines at £18 and above, Waitrose Cellar is exceptional. They also have a brilliant selection of English Wines that come down by 25%.

Which supermarket runs Buy 6 Save 25% offers most often?

The most frequent to run this offer are Sainsburys and Tesco of the major UK supermarkets. Morrisons comes close behind. Asda and Waitrose are less frequent but still every 1-2 months. You'll find that Ocado saves it up for key occassion around major bank holidays and Christmas.

Make sure that you combine loyalty cards such as Clubcard or Nectar with Buy 6 Save 25% offers

Usually without these connected to your online account or scanned in store, the discount won't apply. Supermarkets use the Buy 6 offer as a way of driving loyalty, and so you need to use your loyalty card to qualify for the discounts.

*Please note, these offers are often not available in Scotland, while Wales has minimum prices per unit of alcohol, so the offer may be slightly different.

 David Andrews, DipWSET

David brings great enthusiasm to the wine industry, having left St Andrews university in 2019 and unsure quite where the job market would lead him, he began part time work in a small independent brewery, aptly named Titsey, where it was just him and the owner brewing small batch beer. David then joined Majestic Wine as a trainee manager in Shepherds Bush, moving through the store ranks to head office and now joining us at Winesdirect in 2023. He has completed his WSET Diploma qualification and looking forward to share his expert knowledge and tidbits of the wine world.

As well as being highly knowledgeable on the wine industry, David also loves to deconstruct a wine’s profile and create in depth tasting notes. You’ll find a few breakdowns on our website as well as on his Instagram: @oinosattheoikos

David is a big advocate of adventurous wines and exploring all there is to offer. He rarely buys the same wine twice and is often attracted to obscure grapes from lesser-known regions.
