Moulin-à-Vent is one of the 10 Beaujolais Cru and produces some of the most powerful and long-lived wines of the region. It is considered closer in style to the Côte d’Or red wines of Burgundy than to most other Beaujolais. This appelation is in part responsible for the turn to Beaujolais wines from the rising prices of Burgundy, which have shot up so much that this region now offers far better value for money.
