Pineau des Charentes Wine Offers

Pineau des Charentes is a traditional French vin de liqueur from the Charente region, the home of Cognac, with which it is part made. It is made from a blend of fresh grape juice and Cognac eau-de-vie, where the Cognac is added before fermentation to fortify the wine and keep it sweet. They spend at least 18 months ageing in oak, though the very best spend considerably longer.

It comes in both white and red, made from regional varieties such as Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Often enjoyed as an aperitif or dessert wine, they are deliciously sweet and balanced by rich fruit and subtle Cognac warmth.
