Dow's Port

Dow's Port has quite the history. During the Napoleonic wars, it was the only company to receive a protection transport across the Bay of Biscay. They gained a member of the Warre family, from renowned Warre's Port in 1868, as their winemaker. They were and still are highly regarded for their vintage Ports.

In 1912 James Symington became a partner at Dow's and for five generations now, the Symington's have worked the Dow vineyards, further improving their vintage Port reputation. Proof shone when their 2007 got a 100-point score and their 2011 was awarded wine of the year. More recently, they have leant into releasing aged tawny's alongside their stellar vintages to great acclaim. This is a port house with two centuries of expertise and quality.
