Western Cape

The denomination Western Cape was set up in 1993, and covers most of the wine producing areas of South Africa. Wines described as ‘Western Cape’ are wines that will have been blended from grapes produced across a number of regions within the Cape, rather than from one single area. Many of the major brands fall within this category.
