Mourvedre
Pronunciation: More-veh-dr.
Known as this in the South of France, but also grown in Spain, where it is known as Monastrell, and Australia, where it is called Mataro. Again, a grape principally used for blending but is chiefly prized for its intense aromas, high alcohol kick and rather meaty, gamy flavours.
