Waitrose 4 for 3 Wine Offer!

Waitrose 4 for 3 Wine Offer

Waitrose Cellar are one of our favourite wine merchants in the UK, with an unparalleled range of English wine, fizz, and still wines ranging from the unique and hard to find to some classic, beloved brands.

This is why when they have an offer on you really have to check them out. Whether you are looking for something different, something premium or just a good bargain.

Recently, they have launched a new offer, “4 for 3 on wine & fizz” which is a nice twist on the extremely popular supermarket “buy 6, Save 25%”. This new version allows you to tailor your selection more carefully so you don’t feel forced into stocking up in multiples of 6 and ending up with more than you need.

Mix and match to your heart’s desire on bottles between £6 and £100 and get the cheapest free. It really is that simple!

Top Picks For Autumn

  • Squerryes Vintage Reserve Brut - A premium English Sparkling from Kent that will challenge your favourite Champagne. It’s a complex fizz showing flavour from long lees ageing, promoting a biscuity, brioche character through the backbone of the palate. Fruits are elegant and precise, with orchard apples, ripe lemon, white peach, red apple skin and redcurrant. The finish is long and toasty, perfect for chilly evenings!

  • Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve Exclusive - Feuillatte is a Champagne producer in little need of introduction, but it is safe to say as the bestselling Champagne cooperative in France, you are in good hands. The Reserve Exclusive benefits from 3 years maturation giving it richness and depth that makes it an excellent food wine and winter warmer. Juicy pear and crunchy apricot fruit flavours keep it fresh and lively too.

  • Heinrich Hartl St. Laurent - St Laurent is a grape you may not have come across, but is one of the best red grapes Austria has to offer. It is a medium bodied wine with intense red cherry, velvet blackberry and spice and toast from barrel ageing. This is one I’d strongly recommend for Pinot Noir lovers.

  • Étoile de Pauillac - Pauillac is a name that should conjure up images of quality in your mind, and this is the perfect Bordeaux red to match that name. Pouring a deep purple colour, this is a rich, premium Bordeaux wine with liquorice, pepper and a mixture of black and red fruits. A wine just made for the cold weather.

  • Dourthe Reserve Montagne St Emilion - Something less premium from Bordeaux, but excellent value is the Dourthe Reserve. It is softer in nature with riper fruit flavours and a lesser savoury cedar streak. These combine with great effect making it very sippable indeed.

  • Montes Outer Limits - Montes are by far one of the best and most exciting Chilean wine makers. This is a Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre blend, turning the traditional GSM blend into a GCM. Full bodied, intensely fruity and spicy, it is superbly well rounded with powerful, well-defined flavours that make this a quality wine well worth saving for a special occasion.

  • Wildstone Roussanne - Love Viognier and other stone fruit heavy styles of wine? Roussanne could be your answer. Packed with white peach, apricot and guava, this is a brilliant wine showcasing a grape variety that is often blended due to its difficulty to cultivate.

  • Cape Mentelle Marri Chardonnay - When it comes to Aussie Chardonnay, Cape Mentelle are ones to look out for. This is tropical and expressive Chardonnay done to excellent quality and without oak, for those who enjoy the fruity nature of Chardonnay rather than the buttery nature of oak.Expect peach, pineapple, white flowers and ripe lemon.

  • Chablis Premier Cru Louis Moreau - You can’t go wrong with Chablis at this time of year. It’s something to lift your spirits and reward your taste buds for the dark nights. Moreau is a top-class producer making a Chablis that expresses the mineral, chalky nature of the region, enhanced by tropical pineapple fruit and a little minty aroma. Again, there is no oak allowing you to enjoy the full flavour of Chardonnay.

  • No.1 Grüner Veltliner - Gruner is a grape I always want to give more attention to. It’s never failed to impress when I offer it to less wine exploratory friends thanks to it’s fantastic balance and unique flavour profile. The Waitrose No.1 version is produced by Markus Huber, a top Austrian winemaker. It is citrussy, nectarin-ey and orchard fruit laden. Where it really shines is the Gruner spice, bringing white pepper into the mix for a truly delicious wine drinking experience. It’s a fantastic match with spicy dishes too.
