Dundee Hills Wines

The Dundee Hills is a renowned sub AVA in Oregon's Wilamette Valley. A series of volcanic hills provide altitude above the rest of the valley which helps moderate temperatures, but it is generally warmer than the other sub AVAs due to protection from the Coast Range and Chehalem Mountains.

The result is fantastic Pinor Noir and Chardonnay that are both ripe and well balanced by acidity. These wines are made in a similar style to Burgundy and make worthy rivals. Esteemed French producer Domaine Drouhin bought into the region in the 80s in recognition of its Burgundian potential.
