Knights Valley Wines
Knights Valley is located in the larger Northern Sonoma region in California. It is the furthest-inland AVA, separated from the northern end of Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. It is a warm area as it is sheltered from cooling influence from the Pacific. Cooler temperatures are found at higher altitudes in the foothills of the Mayacamas.
It is an area known for ripe, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel and some Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are also grown.
