XO Armagnac

XO, literally meaning "Extra Old", is one of the oldest indications for Armagnacs where the youngest component of the blend must have been aged for at least 10 years in wood. The reality is that many are aged for longer, with the price usually being a good indicator. These are elegant and refined brandies with exceptional smoothness and a rich character.

Interestingly, it is a category not that well known inside France despite its popularity abroad. This is because the French prefer to go a level up to the Hors d'Âge Armagnac designation!
