Uco Valley Wines

Settled in the foothills of the Andes, the Uco Valley is one of Argentina's greatest regions. With some of the highest vineyards in Mendoza up to 1500m above sea level, Uco has great diurnal range which is important for creating ripe, flavoursome wine with exceptional acidity balance.

Malbec is the top grape of course, but producers have been leaning into premium whites in the coolest sites which are making some extraordinary wines. Due to the potential of this area, there has been a lot of investment so it is Argentina's most modern and technologically advanced wine making region.

Within the Uco Valley are three regions known as departments, within which are renowned GIs:

• Paraje Altamira
