What is Anejo Tequila?

Anejo Tequila simply means aged Tequila. It must spend between 1-3 years in oak in order to qualify. This ensures that you get a Tequila with oak taking a front role on the flavour profile, but the best manage to strike a balance between fresh agave and mellow oak where the oak doesn't overpower.

This style makes a great Tequila designed for sipping, showcasing robust notes of vanilla, caramel, black pepper and earthy agave. A good entry point if you are less sure about this style is Reposado Tequila.
