The Contero estate was founded in 1880 by the Lombardini family, who are now proprietors of La Giustiniana in Gavi. Contero is now owned by Marenco, who are Moscato and Brachetto specialists and work tirelessly to ensure they are one of the top producers of the delicious Moscato d’Asti and Brachetto d’Acqui wines. Their eleven hectares of vines are perfectly situated in a natural, sunlight-filled amphitheatre in Strevi – the heart of one of the best Moscato zones in Piemonte. Tasting Note: Light berry red in the glass, it exudes floral, plum and cherry fruit notes complemented by a touch of herb aromas and a vibrant mousse. Fresh, juicy and mineral with a rich, creamy mid-palate this wine is perfectly completed with a long fresh finish. Food Pairing: Poultry, Pork, Hard Cheese
