Winemaker Stephen Huse is proud of the origin of these vines, as the cuttings came from the right bank of Bordeaux - the renowned appellations of Pomerol and St Emilion. They were brought to Argentina and planted on the high-altitude, limestone soils of Tupungato, which ensures great minerality and complexity to this wine. To help with the balance there is 10% of his Uco Valley Malbec added to the tank to co-ferment with the Cabernet Franc, keeping this wine juicy. The result is a red wine with great acidity, red fruit, raspberry and cassis leaf, as well as seductive vanilla.
