This remarkable bottle of sparkling wine from South Africa uses exclusively Chardonnay grapes. L’ Ormarins is located on the foothills of the mighty Groot Drakenstein Mountains and uses techniques inspired by the traditional methods of Champagne wine production. This approach to wine-making is what South African wine drinkers call MCC "méthode cap classique" which has a two stage fermentation with the latter taking place inside the bottle.
