Masters in multi cask maturation, The Dalmore Distillery have created yet another excellent single malt in the form of The Dalmore Port Wood. This smooth spirit has been matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and aged in Tawny Port pipes – leading to a sumptuous and wonderfully layered whisky. On the nose, balanced aromas of sweet red berries, Seville oranges, plummy fruits and sticky toffee pudding clamour for attention. The palate is greeted by earthy notes of Java coffee and roasted chestnuts, followed by a splash of nectarines and creamy caramel. Finally, the delectable finish conveys plums, sultanas, Maltese blood oranges and cherries. 40% ABV
