Sarget de Gruaud Larose was introduced in 1979 as the second wine of the famous St-Julien second growth Gruaud Larose. About 16,000 cases are produced every year. With a developing nose of pencil shavings, blackberry and plum, this is a fine example of St-Julien. The palate is generous with a silky texture, food-friendly structure, great length and complexity. Drink now or over the next couple of years as a partner to lamb chops with provençale vegetables.
