Tasting note Rich, complex and spicy, this is an intense and powerful red exuding notes of red berries and spiced plums. On the palate it is structured and spicy, with wild berry fruit characters. Powerful but ripe, rounded tannins support the juicy fruit and lead to a long, spicy finish. Country: Portugal Region: Douro Vintage: 2005 Bottle size: 75cl
Quinta da Romaneira is situated in the Cima Corgo district, in the heart of the Douro Valley. This superb location, runs along two kilometres of the Douro River and provides ideal conditions for the production of high quality wines. Christian Seely, who is known for his extensive experience at the renowned Quinta do Noval, bought the Romananeira estate in 2004 and has since replanted extensive vineyards here with the principal aim of producing dry wines, and a small range of Ports. Regrettably, this product is non-returnable and non-exportable.
