Renowned for being the oldest of all the Rioja houses, Marqués de Riscal was founded in the 1850s in the small village of Elciego, in the Alava region of Rioja. Throughout its history, the estate has pioneered new techniques and standards that have achieved even greater character and consistency for the wines produced there. Tasting Note: The wine opens up to reveal hints of leather, roasted coffee and liqueur. In the mouth it proves warm and smooth, with a very long finish brimming with sweet sensations and ripe tannins. Food Pairing: Beef, Lamb, Game
