Wine Advocate's Neal Martin was full of praise for this third generation family producer when he had the chance to taste through the delicious 2015 vintage: "Drouhin continues to demonstrate what a class act they have become." Maison Drouhin was founded 130 years ago and is now run by the four grandchildren of the original owner. Their magnificent portfolio extends from Chablis in the north to the Côte Chalonaise. They are firm believers in organic and biodynamic viticulture, part of their philosophy of meticulous attention to detail throughout their range, from villages to Grand Cru. This is a fine 2015, still tightly reined in, but with depth, ripeness and poise. Let it breathe for at least an hour or cellar longer. It'll reward patience.
