The Gamay grapes for this cuvée (batch) are picked from vines selected because of their age, around 50 years on average. These older vines produce less fruit and the small amount they deliver is very concentrated. The finished wine is a proper beauty. All bright-red berry fruit and delicious juiciness. There's plenty of depth on the palate too, with supple tannins that provide a little grip and there's also a great fresh feel. Great with some grilled pork chops and steamed seasonal veggies.
