For the Syrah Lovers, this is probably a welcome and unexpected version of a Chilean Syrah.
As Jancis Robinson mentioned, I would hate to get this wine in a blind tasting, as I would put more towards Northern Rhone.
There are very few Syrahs that dare to go so far in their acidity and go towards the herbal heights of the variety. This is the perfect reflection of the terroir of Lo Abarca.
The nose is floral and shows red fruits and spices such as fresh white & black pepper.
On the palate, it is delicate, with elegance and a firm acidity, full of red fruits.
A must try Syrah from Chile!
