Italian grape varieties are growing in popularity in Oz, providing some of the country's most exciting drinking. So here Nero d'Avola and Barbera are blended with Portugal's flagship red grape, Touriga Nacional, to outstanding effect. The colour of this wine is great, all 3 varieties are renowned for it and the combo is playing to script. All three grapes flick in an out of prominence as the wine opens up, and will continue to do so as it matures, but today it is a lovely, integrated medium bodied red.
