A smooth and fruity Shiraz, goes well with meats and cheeses at room temperature and also lightly chilled ! My favourite go to wine that is so reasonably priced when on deals in supermarkets with promos. Never get a headache with this it is medium bodied and to be honest I think it is better that some bottles that I have paid £9+ for. I know the quality is guaranteed every time. It is a perfect drink for a relaxing night in front of the fire on its own and equally holds up with a roast dinner, pasta dishes and cheeses. Great all rounder.

Incredible consistency year on year, Yellow Tail is our 'go to' red, whether its a special occasion or not.
Beautiful berry intensity with vanilla overtones make this Shiraz so quaffable. Big smiles all round when this gets opened!

We’ve been loving this Shiraz ever since Casella first sent it to the UK nearly 20 years ago now and have been buying it on a regular basis.
This is our ‘go to’ red because it’s not only great testing but so consistent, vintage on vintage
Ripe berries tinged with a hint of vanilla and oak. Hard to beat at this price point.

We have been drinking this since it first arrived in UK about 12 years ago and now stock up whenever it is on offer! Warm, fruity, quality wine which gives you a pleasant, glowing after feeling. The Yellow Tail Merlot is a very similar wine with a slightly different fruit taste. It is now our house wine and we find it difficult to replace it with anything in the same price range.

Two of us itting for supper in a small cattle ranch cafe in NSW when a local walked in with two bottles of red wine.
"Hey! Taste this. Wha'd'ya think?"
"That's bloody good," we both said after a first quaff... and that was my first encounter with Yellowtail.
"I reckon' I know what they done'" he continued, "they've added sweet grape juice at the end to boost the depth and flavour of it, and doesn't it bloody well work!"
Well, I don't know whether he was right in this, but I do know that ever since, I can't open a bottle of Yellowtail without being transported back out to the outback.
I bet connoisseurs don't rate it, but for me it is a memorable wine and a wine full of memories.
