This is a premium example of fine Hunter Valley Shiraz, the grape variety so closely associated with this region. Its ripe, rich character perfectly reflects the style of red typical of the Hunter. Winemaker Mark Richardson aged the wine in French and American oak barrels for 16 months which has given it an extra depth of spicy flavour.
This wine is a wonderfully versatile partner for many rich savoury dishes, from pasta in tomato and meat sauces, to roast duck and peppery beef stews. Serve at room temperature.
This wine has been released ready to drink, although it will remain in good condition for up to 18 months after purchase. Once opened, finish in 3 days, resealing the bottle between servings.
