Light elegant English Champagne style sparkler from the Hampshire Downs. The 11 hectare vineyard is situated on the chalky bedrock of East Hampshire and is south-facing. The 2011 Classic Cuvée, the estate’s first release, is a blend of the three classic varieties (71% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 9% Pinot Meunier). Pale gold with aromas of red berries and brioche. The palate is fruity, broad and round and is balanced by brisk acidity and fine mousse. It has a lovely delicate toasty character from the ageing on lees whilst the gentle oak flavour adds an extra layer of complexity.
